We've had a fun week with children.  Miranda and Camden came on Sunday.  Monday we spent getting ready to go to visit Jonathan and Kristy.  As part of that process, Miranda made cookies... with Camden's help.

The children watched the chickens for a while, then decided to play outside.  Marian would load the squirter and hand it to Rylee who delighted in squirting everyone around.  Marian ran and reloaded... Rylee aimed and shot.
Tuesday we actually left within 10 minutes of our estimated time of departure (7AM). We first drove to Springfield so Rebecca could stop at the reserve depot and update Delaney for her medical insurance. Between google map and the GPS we got there without problem.  I think the reservists hadn't seen such a gaggle of kids in the building in... ever?  They were mostly good and it didn't take that long to get her SS number into the system.  The kids enjoyed climbing on the "jungle gym" out in front.
We drove to Kansas City and stopped at 5 Guys for lunch.  Mmm.  Good fries.  I drove Miranda's car part of the way and with Books on Tape, both Rebecca and I were able to stay awake.  Alas, we got here before the book was done.  We arrived about 5:30 and the cousins have played well together.  They went to investigate the chickens.
They visited with the dogs and the sheep and (from a distance) the cow.  They played on indoor and outdoor toys.  Although there were a few problems learning the rules, most things have gone smoothly.  It's been fun to see Camden realize that other kids could be entertaining.
Today we went to a fantastic park.  I'm sure Rebecca will blog great pictures.  There's one round swinging thing that we need to get for our own playground.  It's so much fun, you don't realize how much work it is.  So thinks are going well.  Sometimes the volume is a bit high.

And as I was working on my Blog Book, Rebecca told me I'd changed the font to too large a size.  Sigh.  Back to the beginning.
