Monday July4th, Tom and Dan M build me a grape arbor.  It’s beautiful!

Tuesday morning Miranda and Dan left.  Dan went early to go to work.  Miranda left about lunch time.  I went to visit a sweet sister and talk about Young Living Essential Oils.   I also talked to people on Wednesday and Thursday about essential oils.  Still, I have emails about dozens of different calls, teleseminars, and other informational things about Young Living and I haven’t focused on them at this time.

Wednesday we kind of relaxed and cleaned up. Tom left early for all kinds of meetings that he has on Wednesday nights. I guess I don’t lead a very exciting life.  I don’t really remember much of Wednesday and Thursday.

Thursday afternoon Tanya and Scott Kelley and their son, William, came to visit.  They brought 7 chickens—some young ones, some layers, and a rooster that needed going into the stew pot.

Friday we sat around visiting and having a great time.  William and Joshua became a pair and did video games and played outside.  William finally risked the zip line and discovered it was fun!  We had a chance to watch some of the video of the  Ashmore Estates haunts they put on.  They do elaborate haunting every October and also have people coming to do ghost things during the year.  It’s interesting to see the haunts as entertainment.

Saturday we went to see Bro. Obrian’s cement, earth house.  The south side is open, but all the rest is underground.  It feels airy, but is pretty air tight and secure.  We also got some rennet for cheese.  We made mozzarella cheese and ricotta cheese from powdered skim milk.  And we did in the rooster and used it in Mexican Chicken casserole.  Okay.  By then, I was tired.

Sunday was lovely.  Miranda drove over from Oklahoma.  My primary class ended up going well.  I have worked to try to get one point across each Sunday.  This lesson was on Missionary Work and that each person could be a missionary.  Ashley said, “I DON’T WANT TO BE A MISSIONARY.”  Okay then.  But we talked about how you can be a missionary by the things you say and by the things you do—how you act.   And that the gospel of Jesus Christ brings happiness.  It’s Sweet.  So I brought some mini Kit-Kat bars and talked about like candy, the gospel is sweet to the taste.  And when you find something good, you want to share it with others.  Then I had them share part of their candy with another child.  When Ashley’s mom came into class, Ashley said, “WE GOT SNACKS.”  I said, “Why did you get them?”  She said, “BECAUSE THE GOSPEL IS SWEET TO THE TASTE.”   So I felt good that she at least learned one thing.

After church I visited with some of the members—trying to re-weave into their lives.  Then came home and chatted with Miranda and Rebecca and Scott and Tanya.  It was a fun afternoon.  We discussed a couple of books about the advent of the second coming of Christ.  What will it be like?  What will happen before He returns?  Amid the tempests and plagues and such comes the desire to be prepared—spiritually, emotionally, and physically.

Monday, the Kelleys left to go home.  It is our preparation day before we leave to go to Jonathan and Kristy’s house.   This morning I went and watered the front garden. It’s been dry.  I also started trimming the bushes as I was waiting for the different areas to water.  So I got all the bushes trimmed and Miranda, Camden, and some of the other children collected the trimmings and made a “parade” to the burn pile as they carried them in boxes, wagons, and trash cans.

It's been fun to have so much company.
