It seems like a lot has happened in this week. Monday
morning Rebecca and her crew left to go to Miranda’s and then to Utah to visit
Dan’s family. It was quieter when she
left… but not by a lot. We did the
laundry from the beds and made them so they’ll be ready when she gets
back. We even vacuumed downstairs.
Before Callie left, she had a fabulous time playing "hairdresser" to a very patient Christopher.

Tuesday my friend Tosca came to show me her fabrics. She is a fabric designer. She works with
natural fabrics, mostly silk, and natural dyes.
Ohhh. They were lovely! We had a
nice visit.
I needed to write 4 articles this week so I would have them
done for the time I was gone. I’ll just
need to send them out on Fridays. I also
landed a verbal contract to write a book on Infinite Banking. I think it should be interesting and
profitable and a lot of work. This week
I sent out written contracts for the newsletter and the book.
Wednesday I had a physical pre-cursor. I thought it was to be a physical, but it was
more a “meet the doctor.” So I’ll go
back again after I get back home from the trip.
At least I remembered the appointment this time. When Rebecca was here, we were just busy-busy…
and suddenly it was after my appointment.
They really were quite nice about it.
We worked on Deborah’s quilt this week and she got it
finished. It looks lovely!
We’ve been trying to get things organized for our trip. I’d like to get the house cleaner and
straightened up. I still don’t have a for sure ride back from the airport. But I am packed… mostly. Got the laundry all washed so things are
clean. Got some things picked up. It will be interesting to see how much of the
mess is MY mess, once Deborah and crew are packed.
Friday, the Maples came over to get the last info on feeding and
watering the chickens. I also gave away
two of the roosters to Sis. Chinn. I’m
glad to see them go as I don’t need three roosters. I kept “Roger” the black and white one. Tom gave directions for yard work.
Tom has really been a work-a-holic on the rentals. At last, they are all done. Several are rented. He had bits and pieces to do on some, but by
Friday afternoon he was done and joyful!
He celebrated by mowing our yard.
Saturday we drove with the O'brien’s to the Memphis
Temple. One of our single moms was
going through the temple for her own endowments. She came from Mountain View, and the senior
missionary couple there could accompany her to the Memphis temple as it is in
their mission boundaries. What joy to
see those you’ve shepherded make these sacred covenants with the Lord. It was about 12 hours from start to finish.
So today we get a spiritual feast, and we get to finish
packing and take Levi to his new home for the time we’re gone. Tomorrow we leave at 6am.
